No particular steps. We use the fields to gather info when a new forum account is created for example we ask for the persons real first name. If we activate a custom first name field and a new account is created the error will pop up. No data is stored in the first name field. If we allow the first name field to be seen by the user, and they open that page and enter data in the field, the error pops up.brucefenster, tried to reproduce the issue on phpBB 3.3.12 for no avail.
Do you have particular steps to reproduce the bug?
However there is no error adding or editing data in the custom field of any account that was created prior to the board being updated from 3.0 something to 3.3.10 now updated to 3.3.12.
I should also add after reading the post linked above, that our forum is 25 years old. I don't know what version of phpBB we started with but do know we were at one time using phpBB 2. I also know that the person who was tasked to upgrade from I think 3.0 to 3.3 could not initially get the upgrade process to complete. In a last ditch effort he went into the data and made changes or eliminated data. For example we lost all the date we had collected previously in our custom fields and we had to recreate the custom fields again in 3.3.10.
